Date for the Diary and Call for Interesting Cases & Fergus Goodbody Lecture, February 9th, 2024 (13.00 – 16.00)
Dear Colleagues,
We are delighted to announce the ILD Education Day 2024 which will take place as a virtual meeting on Friday 9th February in the afternoon.
The meeting will be held jointly with the Irish Lung Fibrosis Association and the Irish Thoracic Society and will feature the Fergus Goodbody Lecture 2024 which will be delivered by Dr. Naftali Kaminski, Yale School of Medicine.
We are also once again looking for interesting ILD cases to be presented in an MDT format for this educational event. If you have an interesting case that you feel would be informative for others please send a brief summary ( approximately 100 words) to info@irishthoracicsociety.com by December 4th. It would be helpful if you could outline what investigations have been done and are available for review e.g. HRCT scans, PFTs, extended myositis panels, pathology, serology etc. The Terence Moran Memorial Award will be presented to the Best Case Presentation.
In order to have a stimulating discussion we are encouraging all members of the MDT to attend (virtually) so please do send this on to your colleagues in radiology, pathology and rheumatology and anyone who might be interested and encourage them to save the date.
