Science underpins evidence-based policy, research advancement and patient outcomes. Yet today, it faces unprecedented threats from disinformation, political interference and inadequate funding. Political attacks on science threaten not only research advancement but also the evidence base that guides clinical practice and policy decisions.

ERS and ELF are urging leaders to unite in defending science and advancing international collaboration to secure a healthier, more resilient future for all.

• Guarantee sustained funding for public health and research
• Invest in education and health literacy
• Ensure decisions are science-based and informed by experts and lived experience
