The Irish Thoracic Society is delighted to invite applications for the newly established ITS Sustainability Officer Role.

- Location: Virtual
- Time Commitment: Approximately 6 hours per month. Role commences on 1st of October and is 2 years in duration.
- Reports to/Supported by: ITS CEO
Role Description
The ITS Sustainability Officer will play a key role in advancing the organisation’s commitment to climate action by promoting sustainable practices and supporting initiatives that recognise the critical link between respiratory health and climate change.
The post-holder will work closely with the ITS CEO and be supported in developing their own knowledge and expertise, while also playing a key role in raising awareness and educating members on sustainability and climate-related health issues.
The role will also involve collaborating with internal and external stakeholders as a representative of ITS.
We are seeking a person who:
- Demonstrates a genuine passion for sustainability and climate action
- Excels at building strong relationship and excellent verbal and written communication
- Is proactive and self-motivated
As this is a newly established role in the organisation, there is an opportunity for the post-holder to shape its direction for the two-year term.
