Abstract: BG: Wells score is an important indicator of probability of Having a PE, D-dimers is a very good negative predictive value.
Aim: To measure compliance with documentation of Wells score and D-dimer in CTPA request in accordance with best practice.
Method: The CTPA request from Jan 1-7 2020 were reviewed on NIMIS
An audit tool was developed based on standards.
Conclusion: Retrospective reviews of CTPA, there were 38 scans ordered over the 7 day period. With 2% results for PE a 5.2% result.
