The 2016 Annual Scientific Meeting was a great success and reflected the excellent work in respiratory medicine and healthcare throughout the island and ‘state of the art’ education on a range of topics. Guest lectures from Professor Wisia Wedzicha, Imperial College London; Professor Luke O’Neill, Trinity College Dublin; Professor Richard Costello, RCSI, Beaumont Hospital Dublin, and Professor Karina Keogh, Mayo Clinic, Rochester were very well received by all.
